Chapter 18
“Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. And Mrs. Shawn and Isabella Brady and their daughter Daniella!!” The DJ announced as Belle and Shawn came bounding into the room with Danni, greeting everyone as they walked past them. “And now the bride and groom will share their first dance.”
Shawn handed Daniella to Rex and took Belle‘s hand. “Ready Mrs. Brady?” Shawn asked as he lead her to the dance floor.
“More than you’ll ever know.” She replied as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
You've heard this a thousand times before
I'm in love with you
You'll hear it at least a million more
Baby that's the truth It's the small things that endear me
Every time that you are near me
The way you laugh at what I say
The way you look at each new day
The way your tears fall right on cue
That's what I love about you
Nobody else knows me by heart
Takes me where I can reach the stars
Makes me believe in love
The way you do
You see me in the man that I can be
And I'm thanking you
You've given me all I ever need
All I wanted too
I know how blessed I am
Girl, you are my best friend
Shawn and Belle were lost in their own world as the song continued. She ran her fingers through his hair and pulled him into a tighter embrace as they danced their way into their own little paradise.
The way you laugh at what I say
The way you look at each new day
The way your tears fall right on cue
That's what I love about you
Nobody else knows me by heart
Takes me where I can reach the stars
Makes me believe in love
The way you do
The way you do
You gotta listen, baby
The way you laugh at what I say
The way you look at each new day
The way your tears fall right on cue
That's what I love about you
Nobody else knows me by heart
Takes me where I can reach the stars
Makes me believe in love
The way you do
The way you do
The way you do
When the song ended Shawn dipped Belle and kissed her to the delight of all watching. “I love you.” He whispered in her ear as he stood her up again and goose bumps covered her skin.
“Now ladies and gentlemen Belle will share a dance with her father before the party kicks into full gear.” The DJ announced and another song began.
John walked to the floor and took his baby’s hand. “You look beautiful sweetheart.”
“Thanks dad.” Belle said as they began to sway to the music.
When the sun goes down and it's getting late
You say it's time for bed
She just takes her time
Acting like she never heard a word you said
Little baby wanna hold you tight
She don't ever wanna say good night
She's a lover, she wanna be Daddy's Girl
When the morning comes
And it's time to go start another day
She won't let you leave, and she does her best
To try to make you stay
Pretty baby gonna start to cry
She don't ever wanna say good bye
She's a lover, she wanna be Daddy's Girl
She don't ever wanna be without you
Never have to worry she won't doubt you
Then she puts her head upon your shoulder
Says she marry you when she get older
John swallowed another lump in his throat but not before a tear escaped. His baby girl was married now. He gazed into his Izzy-B’s eyes and smiled. She would always be his little girl.
When the time has come, and she's old enough
To be on her own
She won't understand why you're feelin' sad
Cause she's leaving you all alone
Little woman gonna make you cry
You don't ever wanna say good bye
She's a lady, she'll always be Daddy's Girl
Little woman gonna break your heart
Gonna miss her when you're both apart
She's a lady, but she'll always be Daddy's Girl
She'll always be Daddy's Girl
She'll always be Daddy's Girl
She'll always be Daddy's Girl
She'll always be Daddy's Girl
She'll always be Daddy's Girl
She'll always be Daddy's Girl
Belle kissed John’s cheek when the song ended. “I love you daddy. And it’s like the song said, I’ll always be Daddy’s Girl.”
John pulled her into a hug. “You know you will baby.”
“Ok folks, let’s kick this party into full gear.” The DJ said before turning on another song.
Belle and Shawn went to sit at the head table and watched as their friends had the time of their lives. “Daddy!” came the tiny voice of Daniella.
“Yes sweetie?” He asked as he the little girl approached him.
She looked at him and smiled sweetly, holding out her tiny hand. “Dance wit me?” she asked innocently.
Shawn smiled. “Of course Angel.” He kissed Belle quickly on the lips. “I’ll be back soon.” He said before take their daughter to the dance floor.
Belle sat back and smiled as she watched them. The sight of her daughter standing on her husband’s shoes as they danced was one Belle knew she would remember for the rest of her life. She was sure there would be times that she wanted to pull out her hair but she knew she could handle those because this is what she chose. She chose them and she knew she would never regret that choice for a moment. The realization had finally hit her. This was her life, this was her passion and her love. This was her family.
